The action of a cosmetic peel is to remove debris that would otherwise hinder the skin’s natural function of elimination, moisturising, and cooling.  When the skin’s natural functions of elimination are hindered, we begin to see an accumulation of toxins or a blemished complexion.  Removal of this accumulation of hardened sebum, dead skin cells, and toxins excreted from the body and environment is the first step to clarification.  This is accomplished through the peeling or shedding of the skin.
