Skin Culture's 4 Graduating Strengths

Results from the peels depend on skin thickness with progressively better results being obtained on previously peeled (newly thinned) skin.  There are four graduating strengths in the Skin Culture Peeling line numbering 1000 through to 4000.  The number is indicative of the strength and the depth of the epidermis it penetrates and exfoliates.  For example, Peel 2000 penetrates and exfoliates the first two layer.  Peel 4000 is the maximum strength and provides the deepest peeling.

Skin Culture’s active principle ingredients are Lanolin, salicylic acid, resorcinol and a small percentage of phenol (less than 2% by volume) as opposed to the medical peelings, which are predominantly phenol.  Salicylic acid, resorcinol, and phenol cause the skin to exfoliate.  The antiseptic, germicidal and healing properties of sulphur, sodium benzoic are used in the formula with oils of thyme, eucalyptus, wintergreen and cade.  These oils have long been recognised in natural healing science as effective holistic healing agents for many skin problems.

Clients who have sun damage, hyper-pigmented skin, or other forms of melasma are the best candidates for the Skin Culture peel.  However, most adults can benefit from peelings because most adults do have some form of fine wrinkling, blemishes or hyper-pigmentation.  An ideal candidate for a cosmetic chemical peel treatment is one who is looking for improvement rather than perfection.  No existing peeling will alter facial structure or make a person unlike himself or herself.

It is best to have your client started on a course of home care before administering the Skin Culture Peel.  This pre-treatment will ensure that the client's skin is in better shape before having the treatment.

Many clients will call your salon specifically asking about chemical peels.  Information given out over the telephone should be minimal, because you have not seen the client's skin.  Ask the client to make an appointment for a consultation before you issue an opinion about their skin
